We’re seeking passionate and dedicated professionals to join our dynamic team as a full time Emergency Mental Health & Same Day Access Clinician! What You Will Be Doing
In this exhilarating position, you will be at the forefront of mental health support, working both in the office and in hospital settings. You’ll have the opportunity to provide crucial assistance to individuals in crisis, conduct thorough assessments, and connect them with ongoing services that can truly transform their lives. Join a dynamic team where you'll expand your clinical expertise through cross-training across our Emergency Mental Health and Access services, including Intensive Crisis Stabilization (ICS), Emergency Mental Health (EMH), and Mobile Crisis Response (MCR), while gaining experience with diverse patient populations and clinical settings.

As a Emergency Mental Health and Same Day Access Clinician, you will collaborate with a dedicated team, engaging in a role that makes a real difference in the Kalamazoo County community. Your expertise will help foster resilience and recovery, and you’ll be empowered to share vital mental health resources with community members who are seeking help.

We offer two schedule options to support work-life balance: four 10-hour shifts (40 hours/week) or three 12-hour shifts (36 hours/week). Schedules are determined based on team needs and primarily include late afternoon and evening hours. Preferred scheduling options can be discussed during the interview process.

What We Require
You must have a Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology or a related field. Experience in a clinical setting is preferred. Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW/LLMSW), Limited License Psychologist (LLP), or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC/LLPC) required. Those anticipating Limited Licensure within the next 3 months are encouraged to apply. ISK provides supervision for all limited license clinicians.

You’ll have extensive knowledge of the DSM-5 diagnostic criteria, co-occurring disorders, substance use disorders, evidence-based and promising practice interventions, and familiarity with psychotropic medications and the ability to work in a fast- paced environment. You must also have a valid Michigan Driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Physical Requirements / Working Conditions:
Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations, including, but not limited to, visual and/or audiological appliances and devices to increase mobility.

Physical Efforts – Job demands include prolonged sitting and standing. Requires light lifting up to 25 pounds, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or bending. Requires coordination of hands and/or eye/hand/foot and ability to hear and communicate verbally.

Working Conditions – In office environment with noise from computers, copy machine, and telephones. Use of computer for periods in excess of 30 minutes at a time. May be exposed to bloodborne pathogens, infectious diseases, and parasites. May encounter community environments that include homes, schools, courts, and other community settings that may or may not be barrier-free. Travel throughout the Kalamazoo area may be required.
