Coordinator Scheduler is responsible for coordinating and managing patient appointments to support efficient operations and positive patient experience to Bariatric Program. You will collaborate closely with patients, physicians, and staff to schedule appointments, maintain accurate patient information, communicate scheduling details, and help ensure patients receive timely and coordinated care.
As Scheduler, a typical day might include the following:
- Scheduling appointments based on physician orders and patient needs
- Managing scheduling work queues and In Backet messages within EPIC
- Verifying insurance, pre-authorizations and referrals have been obtained
- Providing support to team when needed
- Communicating appointment details with patients and addressing scheduling inquiries
- Maintaining accurate patient information and documentation within the medical records
- Demonstrating excellent customer service in communication with patients, visitors, physicians, and staff
- Demonstrating the ability to adapt to change in the workload as required in a timely manner

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have a High School diploma and equivalent. At least 1-3 years of relevant experience in healthcare and medical terminology. Knowledgeable with Microsoft Office and proficient computer skills. Familiarity with office equipment such as copiers and fax machines. Must demonstrate willingness to learn. Must be able to work from 8:30am-4:30pm, Monday-Friday.
