POSITION: HR Coordinator

DEPARTMENT: Human Resources

LOCATION: Kneads Bakeshop

REPORTS TO: HR Manager

Salary: $26-$30

Position Summary

The Human Resources Coordinator supports daily HR operations across Kneads Bakeshop locations, with a primary focus on weekly hourly payroll, benefits enrollment, employee records, and onboarding administration.

This position works closely with HR and location managers to keep employee information accurate, meet administrative deadlines, and provide friendly, timely support to employees. As the company grows, the HR Coordinator will assist with the administrative needs of additional locations.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Prepare weekly hourly payroll, review time records, and work with managers to resolve missing punches and discrepancies before approval.
  • Assist employees with benefits enrollment, track deadlines, and coordinate approved changes.
  • Review benefits enrollment and payroll deductions for accuracy.
  • Maintain accurate employee files and process approved updates in HR and payroll systems.
  • Protect confidential information, keep restricted records separate, and follow record-retention procedures.
  • Coordinate onboarding paperwork, orientation, and employment-verification requirements, including Form I-9 procedures as assigned and trained.
  • Help employees access HR systems and follow up on required forms, policy acknowledgments, and training.
  • Process approved separation updates and assist with offboarding.
  • Post job openings, coordinate interviews, and prepare approved offer letters.
  • Answer routine HR questions and refer sensitive concerns or complex matters to the HR Manager.
  • Maintain HR reports and trackers, gather records for periodic audits, and assist with new-location openings.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in HR administration, payroll, benefits, or a related administrative role.
  • Experience reviewing time records and supporting payroll processing preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage recurring deadlines.
  • Ability to handle sensitive employee information with discretion.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and consistent follow-through.
  • Spanish speaking
