Senior Account Executive, Strategic Growth - Financial Services

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Account Executive, Strategic Growth - Financial Services based in United States.

This role is focused on driving strategic growth across major financial services accounts within a high-growth B2B SaaS environment. You will work alongside a global sales organization to expand existing enterprise relationships and uncover new opportunities across institutional financial services. The position combines consultative selling, account expansion, prospecting, product demonstrations, and strategic relationship management. You will engage senior client stakeholders, identify emerging needs, and build trusted partnerships that support long-term revenue growth. Success requires strong financial services expertise, commercial discipline, and the ability to navigate complex enterprise buying environments. The role also provides an opportunity to influence product development by bringing market and customer insights back to internal teams.

Accountabilities:
  • Partner with the global sales organization to execute strategic growth plans across a defined portfolio of financial services accounts and shared revenue targets.
  • Drive expansion within existing client relationships by researching opportunities, prospecting new teams, initiating conversations, conducting product demonstrations, managing trials, and closing sales.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with financial services clients, becoming a trusted partner by understanding their business priorities, challenges, and evolving needs.
  • Prospect proactively across existing client organizations and develop a consistent pipeline of expansion opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Global Customer Success, Sales Development, Product Specialist, and other internal teams to maximize growth across assigned accounts.
  • Develop strong internal partnerships, secure stakeholder alignment, and coordinate resources to support revenue outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate forecasts and build the pipeline required to achieve and exceed revenue objectives.
  • Work closely with Product Specialists during customer trials to maintain engagement and demonstrate product value.
  • Gather market intelligence and customer feedback and communicate insights to sales, product management, content, and product marketing teams.
  • Identify industry trends and evolving customer requirements to help inform future product and commercial strategies.
  • Conduct value-based product demonstrations and clearly communicate solutions to stakeholders across different levels of client organizations.
  • Travel regularly to meet clients and support strategic account development.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of relevant B2B SaaS sales experience, with an established customer network within the financial services sector.
  • Experience selling to financial services organizations across both buy-side and sell-side markets.
  • Proven track record of consistently exceeding sales targets and delivering strong commercial results.
  • Experience managing six-figure or seven-figure annual revenue targets.
  • Strong full-cycle sales capabilities, including prospecting, discovery, value-based selling, product demonstrations, trials, negotiation, and closing.
  • Ability to identify expansion opportunities within complex enterprise accounts and develop strategic account growth plans.
  • Strong understanding of the financial services industry, competitive landscape, and customer needs.
  • Excellent listening, questioning, and consultative selling skills, with the ability to uncover underlying client requirements.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts and value propositions clearly to stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Proven ability to build rapport, establish trusted relationships, and collaborate effectively with both clients and internal teams.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, strong initiative, curiosity, energy, and commitment to achieving ambitious goals.
  • Ability to learn quickly, incorporate feedback, and adapt effectively in a fast-moving environment.
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly to meet clients.

  • Base compensation range of $158,000–$217,000 USD.
