Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Position Summary

We are looking for a hands-on, mechanically inclined Maintenance Mechanic I to join our warehouse team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with tools, solving problems, and growing into a long-term maintenance career.

Position Summary

The Maintenance Mechanic I supports the day-to-day upkeep of warehouse equipment and facility operations to help maintain a safe and efficient work environment. This role is ideal for someone who is mechanically inclined, enjoys working with tools and equipment, and is looking to grow their maintenance skills over time.

This position focuses on preventative maintenance, equipment checks, basic repairs, and assisting with the general maintenance of warehouse and facility equipment. This is a strong opportunity for candidates with foundational mechanical ability who are eager to learn and develop into more advanced maintenance responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

1. Perform routine preventative maintenance and equipment checks on warehouse equipment and facility systems
2. Assist with routine maintenance, inspections, and general upkeep of warehouse equipment and facility systems
3. Identify equipment wear, damage, or maintenance concerns and communicate findings to leadership
4. Support general facility maintenance and basic mechanical repairs as needed
5. Help minimize downtime by assisting with routine maintenance and timely equipment support
6. Maintain maintenance logs, basic work orders, and equipment checklists
7. Assist with equipment setup, relocation, and general warehouse support tasks
8. Maintain organized tools, workspaces, and spare parts inventory
9. Work with supervisors or outside vendors on larger repairs when needed

Qualifications

1. High school diploma or GED required
2. Mechanical aptitude required
3. Prior warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, industrial, equipment, or hands-on mechanical experience preferred
4. Experience with tools, equipment repair, forklifts, or warehouse environments is a plus
5. Candidates with warehouse, forklift, equipment, or general mechanical backgrounds are encouraged to apply
6. Willingness to learn maintenance processes and expand equipment knowledge
7. Comfortable working around warehouse equipment and machinery
8. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a non-climate-controlled environment
9. Dependable with a strong willingness to learn
