Specific DutiesManage the collection and submission of supplier quality claims. Partner with internal stakeholders to understand process or material failures and work towards solutions with suppliers. Maintaining detailed reports on supplier quality, including defect rates and areas that result in flaws Serving as a liaison between our company's senior management and the vendors to identify quality issues and come up with solutions. Develop, complete, and provide results of experiments as required. Develop, recommend, and implement enhancements to the quality management system that improve product and process quality. Ensure compliance through Validation and Verification. Responsible for determining processes requiring validation, development of plans and analysis criteria, execution, final analysis, and acceptance. Lead multi- disciplinary/ department problem-solving teams to resolve process, design, method, tooling, equipment, and product quality issues utilizing tools such as Pareto Charts, 5 Whys, FMEA, 8 D’s Report, Fishbone, DMAIC among others. Manage all quality performance evaluation equipment and tools such as Infinity QS, CMM, gages. Develop monitoring plan to ensure accurate data collection. Develop, implement, and maintain Process capability Surveillance Program for all manufacturing lines. Drive improved product quality by identifying manufacturing issues, developing cost-effective solutions, and overseeing successful implementation into production. Lead along with Operations efforts of Continuous Improvement focus but not limited on scrap reduction applying PDCA methodology. Provide direct support to Quality personnel regarding operation of the department and Quality System. Assist operations with floor-level decision making. Coordinate and control annual equipment calibration program with external supplier. The Quality Engineer plays a key role in driving quality and food safety excellence across manufacturing operations. Reporting to the Quality Manager, this position partners cross-functionally to ensure product quality, optimize processes, strengthen supplier and incoming material quality, and support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance food safety, productivity, cost performance, and operational effectiveness. This position is on-site.

- Preferring 4+ years Manufacturing experience; packaging in food or foodservice experience is a plus
- Experience in quality demonstrating leadership and a fundamental understanding of customer satisfaction. Quality Six Sigma training preferred but not required.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as FSSC and ISO codes, ASTM, safety rules, operating procedures, and manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- The Job will require the person to have, or be capable of acquiring a working knowledge of:
- H.A.C.C.P (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points)
- Understanding of relational database concepts and experience with analytical tools such as Access, Excel, Minitab, or others
- Comfortable working with Microsoft Office suite (ex: Word, Power Point)
- SAP (or other ERP) experiences a plus
- Proven analytic & problem-solving skills with a demonstrated focus on leveraging and expanding
- Self-starter and team player, ability to manage multiple projects and areas of responsibility.
- Capable of working independently with minimal supervision
- Creative, practical, and innovative abilities are preferred.
- Highly organized and detail oriented with Project Management experience a plus
- Strong interpersonal skills and needs to interact within cross functional teams
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written
- Standard computer packages e.g. Excel/Word/Outlook.
This position is a salaried position and will work Monday - Friday on site days.
