This role sits at the core of a large-scale enterprise infrastructure environment, where you will design, operate, and evolve the foundational platform that supports engineering and business operations. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and scalability of hybrid Linux-based systems spanning on-premise data centers and cloud environments. The position combines deep systems expertise with automation, infrastructure-as-code, and platform engineering leadership. You will play a key role in building highly available services, optimizing operational performance, and strengthening security across mission-critical systems. Working closely with cloud, security, and engineering teams, you will influence architectural decisions and drive platform modernization efforts. This is a high-impact technical leadership role where your work directly enables enterprise-wide innovation and stability.
In this role, you will architect and operate enterprise-grade platform infrastructure while driving automation, reliability, and security across hybrid environments.
- Design, deploy, and support large-scale Linux-based infrastructure across on-premise and cloud environments, ensuring high availability and performance
- Build and evolve Infrastructure-as-Code and automation frameworks using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and Git-based workflows
- Develop automated deployment pipelines for core infrastructure services, system configurations, and platform components
- Implement system-level security controls including patching, hardening, configuration management, and compliance alignment
- Manage hybrid infrastructure environments, including virtualization platforms, cloud services, and containerized workloads
- Design and support enterprise storage systems, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and data protection
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (CloudOps, Security, Engineering) to deliver scalable and resilient platform solutions
- Participate in on-call rotations and maintain operational readiness through runbooks, documentation, and incident response support
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the evolution of platform engineering best practices
This position requires deep technical expertise in Linux systems, infrastructure automation, and hybrid cloud operations, along with strong leadership and problem-solving capabilities.
- 8+ years of experience in Linux systems administration or platform engineering in large-scale enterprise environments
- Expert-level knowledge of Linux distributions (Red Hat, Ubuntu, Rocky Linux) and CLI-based system management
- Strong programming and automation skills in Python and shell scripting
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform and Ansible
- Experience with hybrid infrastructure, including on-prem virtualization, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), and Kubernetes environments
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewalls, DHCP)
- Experience managing enterprise storage systems (e.g., Dell PowerStore, Pure Storage) is highly desirable
- Strong security-first mindset with experience in system hardening, compliance, and secure infrastructure design
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Experience mentoring engineers and working in high-availability, mission-critical environments
