Little Ruby’s is seeking experienced Line Cooks to join our team in New York City.

Little Ruby’s is a neighborhood café known for its Australian-inspired menu, all-day dining, and consistently high-volume service. Our kitchen operates in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, with a strong focus on consistency, organization, and efficient execution.

We are looking for cooks who are hardworking, organized, and thrive under pressure, with strong attention to detail and a team-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Execute dishes consistently according to recipes and presentation standards
• Set up and maintain a clean, organized station for service
• Work efficiently during high-volume service while maintaining quality
• Communicate clearly with chefs and team members during service
• Follow all food safety and sanitation standards
• Assist with prep, stocking, and maintaining kitchen organization
• Complete opening and closing duties as assigned

Compensation & Benefits

• $21 – $24 per hour

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 2 years of line cook experience in a high-volume NYC kitchen
• Experience in scratch kitchens or café-style environments preferred
• Strong understanding of kitchen fundamentals, including knife skills and station organization
• Ability to work clean, organized, and efficiently during busy service
• Strong work ethic and sense of urgency
• Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
