Job Description

An accountable ORT QA systems engineer responsible for maintaining test lab infrastructure, including hardware, software and network configurations. You will help deploy, configure and maintain the hardware and software used for testing Overture. Additionally, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of Overture tests, perform peer code reviews and assist in regression testing Overture release candidate builds.

Responsibilities:

  • Deploy, configure, and maintain lab hardware and software
  • Troubleshoot and address issues with lab resources
  • Respond to requests for assistance regarding lab resources
  • Perform preventative maintenance/upgrades as required
  • Prepare and maintain accurate documentation related to the lab configuration
  • Configure and maintain test hardware and diagnostic equipment to support testing effort.
  • Develop automated Overture tests based on stated requirements
  • Analyze test failures and report product defects
  • Review and critique test programs
  • Cooperate and communicate effectively with team members

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodology.
  • Familiarity with systems administration tasks.
  • Strong problem solving/analysis skills
  • Ability to work with Windows and Linux (Ubuntu) Operating Systems
  • Coding Background in Python and bash.
  • Willingness to learn a huge system with Hardware and software interactions.
  • Ability to learn a wide variety of technologies and quickly gain proficiency.
  • Time management, organization skills, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written English and verbal communication skills.

Location: Burlington, Ontario
Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
Vacancy: This is an existing position
Salary Range: $50,000 to $60,000 per year, based on experience
