We're looking for a full-stack Staff Developer to be a technical leader and key contributor on our EBlock digital wholesale auction platform. In this role, you'll tackle our most complex technical challenges, drive the design and implementation of critical features, and elevate the engineers around you through mentorship and collaboration.
This is a deeply hands-on role. You'll spend the majority of your time writing code, optimizing performance, and solving tough technical problems throughout the stack while also influencing technical decisions and helping your team deliver high-quality solutions that scale.

What You Will Do:
- Design and implement complex features and systems that power our real-time auction platform
- Lead technical design discussions and drive architectural decisions within your team
- Write high-quality, well-tested code and set the standard for engineering excellence
- Mentor and support fellow engineers through code reviews, pairing, and technical guidance
- Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to break down requirements into technical solutions
- Profile and optimize application performance, identifying bottlenecks in code, queries, and infrastructure
- Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex production issues, performing root cause analysis and implementing fixes
- Monitor system health and proactively address scalability concerns before they impact users
- Contribute to engineering best practices, documentation, and team processes
- Participate in technical planning and help estimate and scope work
What You Will Need:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 7+ years of professional software development experience
- Strong expertise in Java application development for complex systems serving web and mobile clients
- Experience building and scaling high-traffic applications
- Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex performance issues across the stack
- Familiarity with profiling tools, query optimization, and performance monitoring
- Solid understanding of application architecture patterns and best practices
- Ability to own features end-to-end, from design through deployment and support
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across teams
- A passion for writing clean, maintainable code and helping others do the same
- Self-direction and ability to thrive with minimal supervision

At E INC, in the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share our base pay as it is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base pay range for this full-time position is $170,000.00 - $190,000.00, and this role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses or commission payments. Your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. In addition, our ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
