SR PCB Designer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a SR PCB Designer based in United States.

This is an opportunity for an experienced PCB layout professional to contribute to complex hardware programs across a diverse range of industries. You will translate electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing requirements into high-quality printed circuit board designs that are ready for production. The role sits at the intersection of engineering, design, and manufacturing, giving you the opportunity to work closely with multidisciplinary teams and customers. You will take ownership of challenging and schedule-sensitive projects while applying sound technical judgment and creative problem-solving. Success in this position requires strong attention to detail, effective planning, and proactive communication throughout the design lifecycle. You will work in a collaborative environment where technical excellence, craftsmanship, customer service, and continuous learning are highly valued. This role is ideal for a senior designer who enjoys variety, autonomy, and solving demanding hardware design challenges.

Accountabilities
  • Design printed circuit boards that meet or exceed customer mechanical, electrical, RF, mixed-signal, and manufacturing requirements.
  • Plan resources and manage project activities to consistently meet customer on-time delivery expectations.
  • Take ownership of complex and schedule-intensive projects, applying independent judgment, creativity, and strong technical problem-solving skills.
  • Collaborate daily with customers, engineers, and other members of the design team through web-based communication and project coordination.
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve technical or project issues throughout the design process.
  • Maintain accurate records of hours, project activities, milestones, and quality objectives using online project management systems.
  • Proactively communicate project status, risks, and progress to customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Apply strong PCB layout practices and manufacturing awareness to deliver designs that are practical, reliable, and production-ready.
  • Act as a customer advocate by understanding requirements, maintaining strong relationships, and helping identify opportunities to support existing business.
  • Contribute to a culture of technical quality, professionalism, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering preferred, or a minimum of 12 years of professional PCB design and layout experience.
  • Extensive understanding of PCB layout techniques and processes, including the ability to balance mechanical, electrical, RF, mixed-signal, and manufacturing requirements.
  • Expert proficiency with at least one major PCB design platform such as Siemens Xpedition, Cadence Allegro, or Altium.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant IPC standards and industry practices for PCB design and manufacturing.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage technically complex or deadline-sensitive design projects.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with customers and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Excellent organization, planning, prioritization, and time-management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving project challenges.
  • Passion for PCB design, engineering quality, continuous learning, and delivering high-quality customer outcomes.
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote environment using digital collaboration and project management tools.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
