Warehouse Shift Lead

Location: Pembroke MA

Employment: Full Time

Report To: Warehouse + Inventory Manager

Job Summary

The warehouse Shift Lead is responsible for overseeing and assisting in daily warehouse operations during their assigned shift. This role ensures efficient order fulfillment, accurate inventory handling, and a safe, organized work environment. The shift lead is the first point of contact for all warehouse staff, providing direction, support, and accountability to meet operational goals and standards.

Main Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Team Oversight
    • Lead and support warehouse staff in day to day operations and special projects
    • Assign and prioritize tasks for warehouse staff during each shift
    • Train new employees on warehouse systems, processes, and procedures
    • Act as the primary point of contact for all warehouse staff questions and concerns
    • Escalate issues, concerns, or operational challenges to management when necessary
    • Monitor team productivity and ensure tasks are completed accurately and efficiently, reporting any concerns to management
  • Operations Management
    • Oversee and assist in picking, packing, and shipping accuracy for e-commerce orders
    • Manage customer service emails regarding to product questions, e-commerce issues and resolutions for all associated brands
    • Oversee and assist in processing e-commerce return orders in an accurate and efficient manner
    • Oversee and assist in physical deliveries or pick ups of goods
    • Ensure all outgoing shipments are processed on time and meet company standards for accuracy and quality
    • Coordinate shipments across multiple carriers (UPS, FedEx, USPS, etc.)
    • Receive incoming shipments via freight, parcel, or any other delivery methods
    • Verify incoming shipments are accurate and complete against purchase orders or packing slips
    • Update inventory systems to reflect received goods accurately
    • Oversee and assist in preparing products for sale such as labeling, stickering, etc.


  • Inventory and Organization
    • Ensure all inventory is properly labeled, stored, and organized
    • Maintain accurate inventory records and oversee and assist in audits or recounts
    • Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies
    • Maintain warehouse layout efficiency and product accessibility
    • Maintain an organized and clean warehouse space
  • Process and Performance
    • Identify areas where improvements can be made to increase speed, efficiency, and organization
    • Support overall labor efficiency and productivity targets
