Adult Mental Health Unit –Utilization Review Coordinator- Full Time- Day shift-8a-4:30p -Req 7564

Utilization Management is a process that evaluates the efficiency, appropriateness and medical necessity of services provided by the facility to patients on a case-by-case basis. It is imperative for a Utilization Reviewer to build and maintain relationships with both internal and external entities to facilitate detailed and accurate flow of information between all parties involved. As a Utilization Reviewer you are tasked with completing initial authorizations, concurrent reviews for continued stay, discharge notifications, and retrospective reviews when necessary. You will work closely with the treatment team to ensure authorizations for treatment. Other duties include but are not limited to completion of referrals for long term hospitalization, maintaining regulatory data, and utilizing electronic medical records for documentation.

Bachelor level degree required, those with Psychology or Human services with highly preferred. Experience with mental health population preferred but not required.
