Rep Senior Account in San Antonio, Texas at University Health System- San Antonio

POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for accurately performing all functions related to legal services as related to subpoenas and requests for the preparation and processing of affidavits, requests for billing records and/or itemized statements, depositions by written questions, cross questions, hospital liens, release of liens, verification and accuracy of account balances, and bankruptcy notices in accordance with federal and state rules and regulations, and health system policy and procedures. Responsible for providing support to the Director of Legal Accounts in researching the payment history of accounts, including accuracy of contractual adjustments, preparation of supporting documentation for proposals of settlement, and review of diagnostic codes to determine that all visits to both Community Medicine Associates and University Health that appear to be treatment for accident-related injuries are included in the settlement proposal.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Commercial courses related to the business field are preferred. Three years experience in a third party billing setting and general knowledge of medical terminology as well as three years experience in clerical office work is required.
