CST, Hendrick Clinic Urology in Abilene, Texas at Hendrick Medical Center

The Certified Surgical Technologists (CST) is responsible for facilitating the operative or other invasive procedure by preparing and providing the required sterile instruments, supplies, and equipment. CSTs maintain the sterile field while anticipating and responding to the needs of the surgical team. Functions as a medical assistant within the clinics.

Minimum Education

• Post High school Vocational/Specialized Training (Surgical Tech School)

Minimum Work Experience

• 1 year

Required Licenses/Certifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist
• Healthcare Provider BCLS

• Thorough knowledge of surgical processes
• Knowledge of health care field and medical office protocols/procedures
