Human Resource Compliance and reporting Specialist
Remote Hybrid AZ, NM, or NV
The primary function of this position is to manage and conduct generalized compliance functions within the HR department. Duties may include HR data and document compliance; department, audit and grant reporting and response; credentialling; department analytics; and employee satisfaction reporting. This position will ensure that these activities comply with applicable corporate policy, grant awards, contractual guidelines, and local, state, and federal regulations. The role will assist with identifying and implementing process improvements and aid in creating forms, documents, and other tools as needed.
This position is an independent function without direct supervisory responsibilities. This position will work collaboratively with several team members, programs and business units within CPLC. Manages the monitoring of human resources policies and procedures for proper compliance with internal and external regulatory bodies.
A wide degree of adaptability, and knowledge is required to meet the challenges faced by this position. Extensive experience with non-profit grants, contracts, policies and regulations is necessary to successfully complete the primary functions of this role. Sound judgment, a commitment to compliance and confidentiality, superior written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, and attention to detail are essential functions of this position.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Assists the VP with monitoring department strategic goals. Ensures alignment with the overall department and corporate strategic goals. Develops tracking and monitoring processes to measure key performance indicators against actual results, and reports on these activities on a monthly basis.
- Creates and provides monthly metrics and activity reports.
- Conducts research regarding new contracts, grants and business units to determine applicable HR processes.
- Conducts and manages HR data integrity audits. Develop appropriate monitoring documents and processes. Works with HR team, program leadership and business units to implement corrections as needed.
- Serves as the main contact for all audit and grants reporting requests. Creates reporting, ensuring accuracy and creates process improvements and implements changes to meet requirements and deadlines.
- Creates, implements and manages an updated credentialing process.
- Completes department reporting for accreditation, affiliate organizations, etc. Identifies gaps and anomalies and recommends solutions.
- In partnership with a third-party provider, conducts annual employee satisfaction survey and subsequent dissemination of reporting.
- Creation of department forms, tools and documents that meet compliance and legal standards.
- Assists VP with compliance issues, compliance hotline activities and investigations as requested.
- Identifies areas of concern and collaborates with training and/or compliance teams to coordinate training opportunities.
- Ensures expenditures do not exceed allocated budget; tracks expenditures to ensure they remain within established guidelines.
- Maintains record-keeping systems relating to assigned duties.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES
The ideal candidate will hold a master’s degree in business administration, public administration, or other related area, and minimally have two (2) years of experience in program evaluation, program management, or internal audit within a non-profit; or three (3) years in a position which conducted similar functions as part of their duties.
Additionally, at least one (1) year of leadership experience similar to a manager level is required. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered to meet the qualifications of this position.
Candidate must have, or be eligible to obtain, and maintain an Arizona fingerprint clearance card and background clearances in respective states and complete a TB test and receive a TDAP vaccination.
