Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Surgical Coordinator to join our team. As a Surgical Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our surgical scheduling. You will work closely with the physician and other medical professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure that all surgical procedures are efficiently scheduled.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience in surgical coordination or related field
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Eclinical EMR system
  • Experience working in a hospital or surgical center setting

Responsibilities:

  • Schedule surgeries and coordinate patient care before, during, and after procedures
  • Communicate with patients and their families to provide information and support
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient information and surgical procedures
  • Collaborate with medical professionals to ensure that medical clearance is complete
  • Answer phones and provide coverage at front desk

As a Surgical Coordinator, you will utilize your excellent organizational and communication skills to ensure that all surgical procedures are scheduled efficiently. You will need to be able to multitask and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Your attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records will be essential to the success of our surgical scheduling department. Additionally, your knowledge of medical terminology and procedures, as well as your experience with EMR systems, will be beneficial in this role.
