About the role

As a medical assistant, you are responsible for providing support to the Physician(s), Aesthetician(s), and other Medical Assistants by performing the tasks listed below. It is essential that all activities are performed accurately, while maintaining the highest quality of care to our patients. Additionally, time management skills are integral to ensure the efficiency of daily patient flow.

What you'll do

  • Triage patients and document their medical history and reason for office visit in EMR
  • Prepare and clean treatment rooms
  • Clean, sanitize and sterilize instruments and equipment
  • Assist with medical, cosmetic, laser and surgical procedures
  • Take patient photographs and videos to document in patient’s chart
  • Provide patients with pre/post-operative instructions, general pricing information, and review of treatment plans
  • Prepare specimen to be sent to outside laboratory and maintain accuracy of biopsy log
  • Understand patient flow and anticipate provider’s next steps
  • Responsible for inventory of medical and surgical supplies
  • Ensure equipment is in proper working order
  • Monitor expiration dates of all medications/injectables/consumable tips
  • Schedule appointments and answer incoming telephone calls
  • Be in compliance with all OSHA, HIPAA, AAAASF guidelines and regulations
  • All other duties as assigned by Physician(s) and/or Director of Operations

Qualifications

  • Must be computer savvy and familiar with Microsoft Office/Google Suite
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Medical Assistant Certified preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
