3 West is a 30-bed combined medical surgical telemetry unit located on the 3rd floor of Willis Knighton Bossier. The patient population consists of adult medical surgical patients who require remote cardiac monitoring due to newly diagnosed or chronic cardiac conditions. RN and LPN staff are responsible for providing the highest level of nursing and medical management using a collaborative multidisciplinary approach. The nurse to patient ratio is 1:5 or 1:6 with a certified nursing assistant and a Telemetry Tech for your support staff. Scheduling is based on 12-hour shifts: 7 a.m. or 7 p.m. Orientation with a preceptor is provided according to experience. New graduates are welcome. ACLS and Basic Dysrhythmia courses are provided through our Career Institute.
