About This Position
General Description
Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Financial Analyst I plays an integral role in supporting both corporate financial strategy and project-level financial oversight. This position contributes to the organization’s financial health by providing analysis, insights, and support across budgeting, forecasting, and performance monitoring activities. The Financial Analyst I collaborates closely with project teams and leadership to ensure financial alignment with operational goals, while also helping to maintain compliance, drive efficiency, and strengthen overall financial management practices.
How You Will Fulfill Your Mission
Strategic Financial Planning & Analysis
- Support the annual budgeting process, including timeline coordination and preparation of financial reports.
- Develop and maintain financial models for forecasting, scenario analysis, and strategic planning.
- Analyze financial performance against key metrics and provide actionable insights.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reporting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data-driven decision-making.
Project Financial Management
- Collaborate closely with project managers to ensure financial planning aligns with project goals, timelines, and performance metrics.
- Monitor and analyze project budgets and variances.
- Prepare financial estimates and variance explanations.
- Support project setup, billing, revenue tracking, and financial reporting.
- Ensure data integrity through reconciliation and validation of financial data.
- Identify and resolve financial discrepancies.
Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Maintain compliance with financial regulations and internal controls.
- Support audits and regulatory reporting as needed.
- Provide financial insights to stakeholders to support operational success.

Specific Knowledge/Certification Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in financial analysis or planning.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, lookups, formulas).
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- High level of professionalism and discretion with sensitive information.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Deltek software, including Costpoint.
