About This Position

The Technology Services Specialist ensures the stability, security, and efficiency of the organization’s end-user computing environment. This position is responsible for the full lifecycle of the Windows desktop infrastructure, including the deployment, configuration, maintenance, and support of desktops, laptops, mobile and peripheral devices. The specialist also manages and supports core productivity applications, with a strong emphasis on the Microsoft 365 suite (including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Office apps), ensuring seamless collaboration and productivity across the organization.

Operating in a hybrid environment, the specialist provides Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support for a wide range of hardware and software issues. This includes diagnosing and resolving incidents, performing root cause analysis, and implementing long-term solutions. The role also involves supporting remote users, managing endpoint security tools, and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures. The specialist works closely with other team members to maintain system integrity, optimize performance, and contribute to projects and initiatives.

Knowledge and Skills

EXPERIENCE: Proficiency in Microsoft Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365 Suite, PC hardware components, mobile devices, and foundational networking concepts is required. Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for both hardware and software issues are essential.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES: A two-year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school.

INTERPERSONAL SKILLS: A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required to be an effective subject matter expert in the position. Indepth dialogues, conversations and explanations with customers, direct and indirect reports and outside vendors of a sensitive and/or highly confidential nature is a normal part of the day-to-day experience. Communications can involve motivating, influencing, educating and/or advising others on matters of significance.

OTHER SKILLS: The role may occasionally require working outside of regular business hours to support critical technical issues or participate in scheduled maintenance and project deployments.
