Registered Nurse (Family Medicine) at Giacare Inc – Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada

In anticipation of a future government contract award, GiaCare Inc. is accepting applications for experienced outpatient, civilian Registered Nurses (Family Medicine) to work alongside the 99th Medical Group, in support of Nellis Air Force Base (Las Vegas, Nevada).

Qualifications:

Experience: Two (2) years of outpatient clinical nursing experience after graduation.

Degree/Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Graduate from a college or university accredited by Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).

Life Support Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS)

Board Certification: N/A

Licensure/Registration: Permanent, full, and unrestricted Registered Nursing (RN) license to practice nursing in a US State, District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.

Duties:

• Administers medications, performs wound care, and numerous other personalized interventions.

• Directs and supervises care provided by other healthcare professionals.

• Accountable for making patient care assignments based on the scope of practice and skill level of assigned personnel.

• Recognizes adverse signs and symptoms and quickly react in emergency situations.

• Makes referral appointments and arrange specialty care as appropriate.

• Conduct research in support of improved practice and patient outcomes.

• Utilize the nursing process in an effective and time sensitive manner IAW standard of care.

• Orient/train new staff as required by government supervisor.

• Participate in the peer review process.

• Complete other duties as assigned.
