Are you a dynamic marketing executive ready to transform a beloved historic estate into a competitive entertainment and tourism brand? Filoli, a National Trust for Historic Preservation site, is seeking a visionary Vice President of Marketing to shape our future, lead our brand narrative, and deliver measurable revenue growth.
Your Mission
As a senior leader reporting to the Chief Experience Officer, you won't just market a beautiful place—you'll elevate a mission. You will be instrumental in executing our 2024-2028 Strategic Plan, centered on community connection and supporting a major capital campaign to expand access to nature.
Your core mission is to:
Define and Execute Strategy: Lead the multi-year marketing vision to significantly grow visitation, revenue, and audience engagement.
Elevate the Brand: Serve as the chief brand steward, translating Filoli's rich history, nature, and beauty into a compelling, modern consumer narrative.
Drive Performance: Use data and analytics to set KPIs (visitation, ROI/ROAS, digital conversion) and ensure every dollar of marketing spend delivers measurable results.
Lead the Team: Mentor and develop a lean, high-performing marketing team and effectively manage external agency partnerships.
What You'll Be Accountable For

Oversee agency partners for creative, media, and PR to maximize ROI. | Lead segmentation and audience development strategies. | Report performance and insights directly to the CEO and Board. |
The Expertise You Bring
Experience: 10+ years of progressive marketing leadership, ideally within attractions, entertainment, hospitality, or other consumer-facing industries known for high-volume marketing.
Strategic Acumen: Proven success in developing and implementing multi-year marketing strategies that directly result in audience and revenue growth.
Brand & Digital Mastery: Strong background in brand management, digital marketing, and multi-channel campaign execution.
Leadership & Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team while working effectively as a partner across senior leadership.
Data-Driven Focus: A sharp analytical mindset comfortable using data to shape strategy and report performance to executive leadership.

Position Details:
Annual Salary Range: $197,000 to $237,000 (depending on candidate experience)
Status: Full-time, Exempt, Benefits Eligible
Location: Filoli Historic House & Garden, Woodside, CA
Reports to: Chief Experience Officer
Schedule: Flexibility to work evenings and weekends in order to meet business needs
