AGM - Manager at Ice Plant Bar & Bottle Shop Inc – St Augustine, Florida

The Assistant General Manager (AGM) plays a vital leadership role in maintaining the exceptional guest experience, operational excellence, and historic integrity that define The Ice Plant. This position bridges daily restaurant operations, staff development, and guest relationsensuring that our standards of quality, hospitality, and professionalism are consistently upheld. Key Responsibilities - Operations & Service Management - Oversee day-to-day operations of the bar, dining room, and kitchen to ensure seamless service. - Maintain a visible presence on the floor during peak hours to support staff, interact with guests, and resolve service issues promptly. - Uphold and enforce all company policies, including responsible alcohol service, cleanliness, and safety standards. - Ensure accurate cash handling, tip reporting, and daily reconciliation of sales and inventory. Team Leadership - Supervise and mentor front-of-house managers, bartenders, and servers to foster a positive, professional, and cohesive work environment. - Lead pre-shift meetings and staff training sessions to reinforce service standards, menu knowledge, and guest engagement. - Support the General Manager in scheduling, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions when needed. - Encourage a culture of accountability, teamwork, and pride in the craft of hospitality. Guest Experience - Ensure every guest receives the distinctive Ice Plant experiencerooted in attention to detail, authentic hospitality, and craft-driven service. - Resolve guest concerns with empathy, professionalism, and prompt follow-up. - Maintain awareness of guest feedback and collaborate with management to improve service consistency and satisfaction. Compliance & Safety - Enforce compliance with all state and federal laws governing alcohol service, workplace safety, and labor regulations. - Maintain accurate records for training certifications and incident reports. - Promote a safe, respectful, and harassment-free work environment for all staff. Qualifications - Strong leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills. - Excellent knowledge of craft cocktails, spirits, beer, and hospitality operations. - Proven ability to manage staff, inventory, and guest relations simultaneously. - Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
