Banquet Server / Bartender

Reports To: Banquet Captain, Food & Beverage Manager or Director

Department: Food & Beverage Services

Status: Part Time / Full Time / On Call Seasonal

Rate: $23 an hour

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Banquet Server / Bartender is responsible for delivering exceptional food and beverage service during events, banquets, and functions. This role ensures efficient, professional, and friendly service while maintaining high standards of presentation, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Service & Guest Experience:
  • Provide attentive, professional, and friendly service to all guests during events.
  • Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly and appropriately.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of menus, event details, and beverage offerings.
  • Deliver food and beverages efficiently and accurately.
  • Thank guests and ensure a positive, lasting impression.

Bar & Beverage Service:

  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with recipes and standards.
  • Monitor and control guest alcohol consumption in compliance with TIPS guidelines.
  • Adhere to all liquor laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Maintain bar cleanliness, organization, and proper stock levels.

Event Execution & Setup:

  • Assist with banquet room setup and breakdown, including tables, linens, glassware, and service stations.
  • Ensure all silverware, glassware, and service items are polished and set according to standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of banquet areas before, during, and after events.
  • Reset rooms efficiently for subsequent events when required.

Teamwork & Operations:

  • Communicate effectively with banquet captain, kitchen staff, and team members to ensure seamless service.
  • Assist with clearing tables, resetting, and maintaining flow of service.
  • Support other departments during high-volume events, races, and resort operations.
  • Maintain knowledge of Granby Ranch operations, events, and local attractions.

General Responsibilities:

  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety guidelines.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment.
  • Act as a positive representative of Granby Ranch and uphold hospitality standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements:

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • TIPS Certification required (or ability to obtain).
  • Previous banquet, serving, or bartending experience preferred.
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Dexterity required for handling trays, glassware, and service equipment.
  • Some outdoor service (patio/events) may be required.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
