Server / Bartender

Reports To: Food & Beverage Manager/Director

Department: Food & Beverage

Status: Full-Time / Part-Time Seasonal

Rate: $12.14 an hour + tips

Position Summary:

The Server/Bartender is responsible for delivering a friendly, welcoming, and enjoyable dining experience through attentive and timely service. This role requires strong menu knowledge, the ability to anticipate guest needs, and the execution of both service and bar functions to ensure a seamless guest experience.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Maintain thorough knowledge of all menu items, specials, and chef features
  • Make recommendations, suggest pairings, and upsell food and beverage items
  • Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly and professionally to requests
  • Provide efficient, friendly, and attentive service always
  • Monitor and responsibly control guest alcohol consumption
  • Prepare beverages according to established recipes, portions, and presentation standards
  • Adhere to all food safety regulations and liquor laws
  • Ensure bar inventory is secure, properly stocked, and handled appropriately
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment
  • Set up and maintain service stations and dining areas to standard
  • Ensure all glassware and silverware are polished and properly set
  • Clear dishes promptly and assist with table maintenance as needed
  • Support bussers and team members to maintain efficient service flow
  • Accurately process all transactions and maintain proper cash handling procedures, including end-of-day closeouts
  • Communicate effectively with team members and management to ensure smooth operations
  • Maintain knowledge of resort operations, events, and local attractions to assist guests
  • Thank guests upon departure and invite them to return
  • Follow all safety and operational procedures
  • Assist with cleaning and sanitizing all dining and bar areas
  • Act as a professional and positive representative of the organization
  • Maintain exceptional service standards with guests, team members, and leadership
  • Assist other departments during events, races, and high-volume periods
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:

Education, Experience & Certifications:

  • Current TIPS Certification required
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Minimum of 2 years of customer service and/or bartending experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Colorado state health codes and liquor laws
  • Previous cash handling experience preferred

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs
  • Ability to stand and walk for the duration of the shift
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions such as lifting trays, carrying plates, and handling glassware
  • Occasional outdoor patio service may be required
  • Must be comfortable working in high-altitude conditions (8,000–10,000 feet) and varying weather if working outdoors
  • Physical movements include walking, bending, kneeling, squatting, reaching, pushing, pulling, and lifting
  • Weekend and holiday availability required
