Position Summary:
The Operations Business Analyst will be responsible for identifying business needs, documenting requirements, and helping design and implement solutions that improve efficiency and productivity. This role acts as a liaison between stakeholders and technical teams to ensure that project outcomes align with strategic goals. This role will help drive data integrity, and leverage data to deliver business insights across our company.
Responsibilities:
- Investigate operational variances—such as budget overruns or schedule delays—to identify systemic issues rather than one-off errors.
- Map “as-is” and “future state” processes, identifying pain points and opportunities
- Act as liaison between field ops and IT/Finance teams to ensure that daily reporting (labor, equipment, and materials) is seamless and accurate.
- Define and monitor key performance indicators, leveraging Operational and Financial data
- Maintain and support reporting and data integrity
- Support the rollout and training for operational software (e.g., Project Management or Resource Tracking tools), ensuring high adoption rates among non-technical staff.
Competencies:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Prefer 3+ years in operational environment doing analysis
- Experience navigating and extracting data from ERP systems (e.g., Vista Viewpoint)
- Advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs), experience querying SQL, knowledge of C++
- Ability to build dashboards (e.g., Power BI) and reports that provide visibility into operational performance
- A general good feel for business numbers
- The ability to communicate effectively with both executive leadership and field operations.
- A focus on "usable" solutions that work in high-pressure, real-world environments, not just theoretical models.
- The ability to prioritize tasks and manage various stakeholders
Benefits and Compensation:
Position offers competitive pay, benefits, paid vacation, and health/dental insurance.
Full-time: $70,000-$80,000 a year, based on experience and qualifications.
