Buyer at Eagle Labs Inc – Oldsmar, Florida

Job Title: Buyer Overview: Purpose: The Buyer orders raw materials and packaging to support manufacturing of dietary supplements, cosmetics and OTC drugs. The Buyer issues purchase orders for materials, components, and services, and follows them through to delivery and receiving in ERP system to facilitate production in cGMP manufacturing plants. Responsibilities: Purchasing ● Utilizes MRP dashboard to create warehouse transfers or purchase orders to fulfill production demand. ● Negotiates best price and manages orders to ensure timely delivery per production start dates. ● Sources preferred and secondary options for raw materials and packaging components. ● Reviews PO for accuracy (quantity, cost, date) before providing to Supervisor for approval. ● Works with Quality Dept to ensure material ordered meets quality specifications. ● Tracks POs to delivery and ensures accurate receiving in ERP system. ● Communicates any discrepancies with vendors and internal departments to resolve problems. ● Builds and Maintains relationships with suppliers to ensure they provide good service and quality. ● Works with Sales department to forecast anticipated demand to plan future orders. ● Works with Logistics department to coordinate inbound shipments. Experience: Two years’ experience in Purchasing, Inventory Control or Customer Service in manufacturing company.

Skills: Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (Specify type, i.e., Computer literate in Microsoft Word and Excel.) ● Experience with MRP dashboard in ERP systems strongly preferred. SAP experience strongly preferred. ● Contract Manufacturing experience preferred. ● Excellent communication skills required. ● Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision. ● Excellent Time Management required. ● Strong critical thinking and reading comprehension skills required. ● Ability to follow through on tasks to completion. ● Experience analyzing inventory transactions preferred. ● Excellent computer literacy required (email, Microsoft, web browsers). Education High School Diploma required. Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
