About This Position

The Cash Application Specialist is responsible for the reconciliation and timely and accurate posting of all customer and incoming payments for our Leather Goods, Totes, Haggar, and Canadian divisions. Assists with reporting and reconciling payments to bank reports, GL, and Accounts Receivable (AR) customer detail.


Responsibilities:

Timely and accurate cash posting, application, reconciliation and reporting for all RAA customer payments, including e-commerceCreate and reconcile large customer remittance payments in Excel Reconcile and analyze website payments using various portals and advanced Excel skillsPost and reconcile customer payments in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system for assigned accounts Create payment lists and reports of daily cash receipts; assist with credit card payment processing and reportingReview daily bank deposit reports and balance accounts for posting to accounts receivable Reconcile and balance cash every day and identify unapplied and non-AR paymentsResearch and ensure deductions are identified and coded correctly and assist with updating reason codes and retrieving claim documentation from customer portalsPrepare cash application performance reports including tracking daily volume of ACH and check remittances as well as credit card paymentsSupport collection and deduction teams, including retrieving and analyzing customer remittances, chargeback detail and coding, reviewing invoice and claim detail, and sending large volume of customer invoicesAssist with other department projects and audit requests requiring frequent use of Excel



Qualifications:

Associates degree requiredMinimum 2-3 years of cash application/posting and/or accounts receivable reconciliations experience requiredExcellent attention to detail and analytical skills requiredAbility to research and resolve payment discrepancies and effective at problem solvingDemonstrated ability to navigate customer and bank portals and create reportingStrong Excel skills required; knowledge of advanced formulas and pivot tablesAbility to multitask and prioritize independently in a fast-paced environment Proficiency in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Outlook, and SharePointStrong interpersonal, teamwork, and organizational skills
