Scribe (Bilingual Spanish) at Woolfson Eye Institute – Lawrenceville, Georgia

Required to travel to: Snellville, Lawrenceville, and Sandy Springs

JOB SUMMARY

Assist Physician with documentation of the patient's medical record

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• The scribe documents any procedures that may be performed by the physician or ophthalmic medical personnel.
• The scribe accompanies the physician into the exam room to transcribe the history and examination as given by the patient and the physician.
• Triages patients appropriately based on appointment time and acuity of problem prepares patient for doctor and maintains smooth, efficient flow throughout clinic
• Take dictation and document medicals while physician is examining patient
• Write out necessary prescriptions
• Administer drops and give injections under physician supervision
• When help is needed at front desk, answer phones and make appointments
• Triages patients appropriately based on appointment time and acuity of problem prepares patient for doctor and maintains smooth, efficient flow throughout clinic

• High school diploma with a minimum of two (2) years of Ophthalmology experience
• Strong organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in Outlook and Microsoft Word and other Software Packages
• Flexibility (may require some early mornings and evenings)
