Job Overview: The Event Bartender’s primary goal is to serve guests for each event in a warm, accommodating, and professional manner ensuring 100% guest satisfaction. In this role, you will be given a Banquet Event Order (BEO) for each event on the day of the event. You will use this sheet to review the type of beverage package listed and set up your bar with all the needed products from tools to liquors to mixers. It is your responsibility to essentially build and break down the bar you are stationed at.
Primary Duties:
- Set up and break down the bar per the Banquet Event Order
- Cleaning and returning the liquors, mixers, juices, and tools back in their proper storage locations
- Maintaining a clean workspace during the event
- Wiping down the bar area and taking out the trash
- Depending on the style of the event, you may be asked to assist with some additional duties, such as wine service, running food or bussing
- Side work at the end of the shift including but not limited to polishing glassware and silverware and restocking your workspace
Executing Service:
- Set up the bar with all needed products and materials before the event to ensure efficient and accurate preparation of drinks based on Banquet Event Order (BEO)
- Check in and out with event leadership team to ensure set up and breakdown duties are clear and understood
- Work hand and hand with other event staff to ensure there is a smooth understanding of roles and responsibilities during the event
Additional Duties:
- Ensure high quality of cleanliness and organization throughout the club
- Uphold Nexus Club’s visions and values while performing positional responsibilities
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, as stated in the employee handbook
- Perform other job-related activities as required or assigned by event leadership

Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma required
- At least 2 years of hospitality service experience. Experience with private clubs, fine dining, or luxury goods is preferred
- At least 1 year in a bartender role
Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- A professional appearance which meets NEXUS’s Personal Presentation Policies
- Flexible availability on a week-to-week basis and availability to work nights, weekends, and potential holidays
