About the Role
As the Global Payroll Manager at Nclusion, you will oversee end-to-end payroll operations for domestic and international employees, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant pay across all regions. You will drive consistent payroll execution while maintaining strong controls, reconciliations, reporting, and adherence to applicable tax, wage, and employment regulations. Serving as the primary point of contact for payroll-related inquiries, you will support employees with pay, deductions, retirement plans, and other benefit programs with accuracy and professionalism.
This role requires a highly autonomous self-starter who can independently manage payroll processes, anticipate business needs, and proactively identify risks, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities. You will serve as the primary payroll resource for employees, delivering accurate, timely, and approachable support for all payroll-related inquiries. You will partner with cross-functional teams and external providers to ensure global compliance, improve payroll processes, and scale operations as the company grows.

What You’ll Do
  • Run end-to-end domestic and international payroll cycles, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant processing across regions

  • Manage payroll vendors and in-region support teams across time zones, resolving escalations and maintaining service quality

  • Own payroll month-end close, including payroll journal entries and payroll-related balance sheet reconciliations

  • Serve as the primary payroll point of contact for EMEA and APAC, delivering a high-quality employee experience and timely issue resolution

  • Oversee variable and one-time payments (bonuses, commissions, severance), leave-related pay, and statutory/benefit contributions

  • Coordinate payroll funding and remittances (net pay, taxes, pensions) with Accounting and local banks/vendors

  • Generate and analyze payroll reporting to support Finance, audits, and operational decision-making

  • Drive continuous improvement across payroll workflows, controls, and documentation as the company scales globally

What You Bring to the Table
  • 7+ years of payroll processing experience supporting small to mid-size organizations
  • Strong working knowledge of global payroll compliance, including local payroll tax requirements and labor rules
  • Proven experience managing payroll vendors and navigating varied in-country payroll practices and systems
  • Advanced Excel skills (XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, pivot tables, formulas, working with large datasets)

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting payroll system or vendor implementations
  • Experience with NetSuite, including creating and reconciling payroll journal entries
  • Experience running payroll for APAC and/or the Americas
  • Experience with Rippling, or other payroll-related tools

CompensationThe base pay range for this role is $140,000 – $170,000 per year.
