R.N. at Golden Valley Memorial Hospital – Clinton, Missouri

Works with surgery patients preoperatively and postoperatively using the nursing process. Able to work with all ages and types of patients. Provides patients with education, emotional support and comfort measures as needed. Cross trains to the Recovery Room and takes call in Recovery. Communicates effectively with other healthcare professionals in Surgical Services as well as other departments to ensure optimal patient care. Acts as a strong patient advocate. Completes duties on time and helps coworkers when needed. Demonstrates flexibility with changes in schedule and daily assignments. Maintains professional composure and confidence in stressful situations. Continuously demonstrates a "can-do" attitude within the department and across departmental lines.

Required:
MO RN licensure in good standing
BLS certification
Good communication skills, team-player attitude, commitment to customer service and flexibility in scheduling. Must be able to be at the hospital in 30 minutes or less for 'on call' duty.

Desired:
ACLS and PALS certification (must be obtained within six months of hire)
Surgery or recovery experience
Minimum one (1) year Med/Surg experience
