About This Position

🌟 Join a Top Workplace in Specialized Therapy

Enhance your clinical career with AB Spectrum, a team proudly named a Top Workplace by the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. We earned this recognition, which is based entirely on employee feedback, because we foster a culture where people feel valued, supported, and inspired to grow.

AB Spectrum provides specialized ReggioABA™ (Applied Behavior Analysis) therapy for young children (ages 1-6). Our foundation is ABA, an evidence-based therapy focused on developing communication, social, and adaptive living skills.

  • Our Model: Our centers utilize a unique Therapy Through Play model. We embrace the principles of Reggio Emilia by devising a Natural Environment Teaching (NET), child-led learning environment to deliver individualized, high-quality early intervention services in settings that replicate a natural preschool.
  • Our Team: Join our collaborative team of BCBAs, RBTs, SLPs, and Administration. You'll benefit from cross-disciplinary collaboration and unique special visits, including music facilitators, pet interactions, and other partnerships.

Role Overview & Core Details

We are seeking adaptable, high-energy individuals to provide 1:1 clinical support during our busy mid-day lunch and transition blocks. This is a fast-paced, technical role focused on maintaining consistency across multiple student programs; it is not a "buddy," mentor, or talk-therapy position. Working with children ages 1–6, you will rotate between students to implement Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) protocols during critical mealtime and play-based learning periods.

In this role, you function as a clinical implementer who can jump into various cases and follow specific protocols with precision. Under the guidance of a BCBA, you will help different students master functional life skills—ranging from social table manners and self-feeding to potty training and peer interaction. Because you will be supporting multiple children throughout your shift, you must be able to switch gears quickly while maintaining accurate data collection for each individual student.

Success in this coverage role requires a "professional-first" mindset and the ability to remain calm during high-energy transitions. You will be the steady, clinical presence a child needs when they struggle with mealtime routines or sensory challenges, which includes following specific behavioral plans for screaming, hitting, or biting. We are looking for candidates who are exceptionally reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to meeting measurable goals through consistent, scientific practice.
