AI Solutions and Delivery Lead Responsibilities

The AI Solutions and Delivery Lead serves as a strategic and execution-focused partner to business leaders, identifying and delivering applied AI solutions that improve operational performance, decision-making, and productivity.

This role works cross-functionally to translate business challenges into AI-enabled solutions and leads initiatives from concept through deployment and adoption. The position requires a balance of strategic thinking, hands-on execution, and change leadership to drive measurable business outcomes and embed AI into core workflows across the organization.

Activities include:

  • Identify, scope, and prioritize AI use cases aligned to business value and strategic objectives.
  • Lead end-to-end delivery of AI initiatives, from concept through pilot and scaled deployment.
  • Translate operational pain points into AI-enabled workflows, copilots, automations, and decision-support tools.
  • Partner with IT, vendors, and business stakeholders to integrate AI solutions into existing systems (i.e. Microsoft 365, ERP platforms).
  • Support development of AI use cases, including Microsoft 365 Copilot, internal agents and ERP-adjacent solutions.
  • Drive process simplification & continuous improvement projects with a focus on EBITDA and working capital impact.
  • Work with field leadership to identify and execute process gaps and simplification opportunities.
  • Define plans to deliver change in 1-3 month increments, using agile methodologies to delivery incremental improvements in quick time periods.
  • Drive strategic initiatives aimed at improving business KPIs through defining the issue, analyzing and prioritizing root causes, making improvements, and verifying results. Examples include, but not limited to,
    • Faster, simpler, more accurate order entry in QAD by utilizing data uploads and automation enhancements.
    • Improve branch efficiency by preventing vendor PO Variances and customer invoicing disputes.
    • Drive implementation of efficiency tools like Smartsheet, MS Teams, etc.
    • Warehouse space and throughput optimization
    • Digital and mechanical automation
  • Gain the “hearts and minds” of employees globally to change the way they work and improve the top/bottom line and customer service.
  • Utilize technical tools (Python, SQL, etc.) to streamline processes and gain productivity
  • Engage and collaborate with customers, suppliers, field leaders, and executives on right course of action to solve business problems and meet objectives.
  • Influence the functional support / branch teams to change the way they work to better service customers and partner with suppliers.
  • Gather data on existing process, where the top problems are, and show improvement results after positive changes are made

Required Skills:

  • Experience leading at least one AI/ML/LLM-enabled project from concept through deployment with measurable business outcomes
  • Strong project and program management capabilities
  • Proven ability to translate ambiguous business problems into actionable solutions
  • Experience working cross functionally within the business and with external partners
  • Process improvement mindset.
  • Comfortable with data, analytics, and solution design
  • Experience driving change management and user adoption
  • Executive-ready communication and presentation skills
  • Working knowledge of enterprise systems (Microsoft 365, ERPs, etc.).
  • Minimum of three years of experience in project management, process improvement or related roles
  • Analytical, effective problem solver, solution oriented.
  • Team oriented with a hands-on leadership style.
  • Proficiency with data tools such as SQL; familiarity with Python preferred
  • Understanding of Robotic Process Automation

Desired Skills:

  • Experience in distribution, supply chain, or manufacturing environments
  • Background in IT, data, or analytics-related fields.
  • Lean, Six Sigma or continuous improvement certification
  • Experience with Microsoft Foundry
  • Experience with AI/ML tools and frameworks (PyTorch, Tensor Flow, Pandas)
  • Experience with Power BI and Power Query/M
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferred
