Luxury Jewelry Buyer at Riddle s Group – Rapid City, South Dakota

Riddle’s Jewelry is seeking an experienced, strategic, analytical, and trend-savvy Buyer to drive merchandising initiatives across our 70+ retail locations. This role owns assortment strategy, vendor partnerships, inventory performance, and category growth while ensuring our stores remain competitive, compelling, and aligned with customer demand.

The Buyer plays a key role in shaping the product story of Riddle’s Jewelry, balancing trend awareness, financial performance, and operational execution. Riddle's is willing to pay relocation expenses for the right candidate.

What You’ll Do

Merchandising Strategy & Assortment Planning

• Develop and execute assortment strategies aligned with company goals and customer preferences
• Analyze sales performance, trends, margin, and inventory metrics to drive profitable decisions
• Create and manage seasonal and core assortment plans across designated categories
• Lead planogram development, case layouts, and merchandising standards to maximize presentation and sell-through
• Build and maintain strong vendor partnerships, negotiating pricing, terms, and exclusives
• Lead vendor meetings and new product development initiatives
• Identify emerging trends and new opportunities in fine jewelry and fashion categories
• Oversee purchase order process including SKU setup, order placement, receiving coordination, and vendor follow-up
• Manage inventory levels, forecasting, replenishment, allocation, and category performance
• Monitor open-to-buy and ensure alignment with financial objectives
• Lead vendor return strategy and product lifecycle management

Education & Experience

• Degree in Merchandising, Business, or related field (preferred)
• 3–5+ years of buying or merchandising experience
• Retail jewelry or luxury retail experience strongly preferred
• Experience managing vendors and negotiating product programs
