Interacting with patients to gather medical history, ocular history and information on visual complaints, past eye injuries, and/or family histories of eye disease. Reviewing of medical records for additional history required for the eye health evaluations. Assisting in preliminary examination of patients prior to their evaluation by the Optometrist. Testing may include: unaided and corrected visual acuity and visual skills, muscle balance, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, accommodative ability, auto refraction and auto keratometry, depth perception testing, screening and threshold visual field testing using the Humphrey Visual Field, ocular photography using an anterior segment or retinal camera; performing scans using multiple style of equipment. Accurately recording all information in EHR system according to established standards and physician requirements. Readily scribing for physician. Securing patient information and maintains patient confidence by completing and safeguarding medical records, completing diagnostic and procedure coding, and keeping patient information confidential.

Responsibilities:

- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues

- Perform routine maintenance on equipment

- Keep accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performed

- Communicate with management regarding any equipment issues or concerns

Requirements:
