About the Role
We're looking for a sharp, experienced QA engineer who's ready to take real ownership of quality on a product that matters. You'll be driving day-to-day testing efforts, building out automation, and mentoring junior team members who look to you for guidance. This is a hands-on role, but you're also someone who naturally elevates the people around you.
What You'll Do
Own the Testing
- Design and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for features, releases, and hotfixes
- Perform manual and exploratory testing across web, mobile, and API platforms
- Build, maintain, and improve automated test suites and frameworks
- Lead regression, integration, performance, and smoke testing efforts
- Identify, document, and track defects through to resolution with clear communication
- Partner closely with developers and product managers on requirements and acceptance criteria
Elevate the Team
- Serve as a technical resource and day-to-day mentor for junior QA engineers
- Conduct code reviews on test automation scripts and provide constructive feedback
- Help establish and document QA standards, testing best practices, and team workflows
- Collaborate with the QA Director on test coverage strategy and release prioritization
- Contribute to QA metrics reporting and help communicate quality trends to the broader team
What You Bring
Required
- 4+ years of hands-on software QA/testing experience
- Proficiency in test automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright
- Experience with scripting or programming languages (Python, JavaScript, Java, or similar)
- Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and how testing fits within them
- Experience with API testing tools like Postman or REST Assured
- Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Strong communication skills and a genuine interest in helping others grow
- Sharp debugging instincts and attention to detail
Nice to Have
- Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, K6, LoadRunner)
- Familiarity with security testing practices
- Mobile testing experience (iOS and/or Android)
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Experience with Docker or containerized testing environments
What Success Looks Like
- First 90 days: You know the product, you know the team, and you're driving meaningful test coverage improvements
- First 6 months: Your automation contributions are reducing manual regression time and catching more bugs pre-release
- First year: You're a trusted technical voice on the QA team, actively shaping how quality is built into our process
