Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the end-to-end owner of Workday reporting, including advanced, matrix, composite, and dashboard reporting.
  • Establish and maintain a centralized reporting framework aligned to business priorities.
  • Ensure all reporting reflects a single source of truth across HR, Finance, IT, and leadership.
  • Design and deliver executive-level reporting packages for:
    • Executive Leadership Team (ELT)
    • Board of Directors
    • Quarterly business reviews and operating rhythms
  • Translate complex data into clear, concise, and actionable insights.
  • Build and maintain standardized reporting decks with consistent definitions, visuals, and narratives.
  • Partner with HR and Finance leadership to anticipate reporting needs and elevate insights beyond basic metrics.
  • Develop and maintain Workday dashboards and scorecards tailored to various audiences (executives, HRBPs, managers).
  • Drive adoption of real-time, self-service analytics through intuitive and user-friendly designs.
  • Continuously improve visualization standards to enhance clarity, usability, and decision-making.
  • Implement and maintain a robust reporting governance model, including:
    • Naming conventions
    • Tagging and categorization
    • Report descriptions and documentation
    • Usage tracking and lifecycle management
  • Create a centralized reporting catalog/library within Workday.
  • Audit and rationalize existing reports to eliminate duplication and improve efficiency.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all HR reporting requests.
  • Design and manage an intake and prioritization process for reporting needs.
  • Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of reporting solutions aligned to SLAs.
  • Partner cross-functionally (HR, Finance, IT) to align on data definitions and reporting requirements
  • Proactively identify opportunities to:
    • Automate manual reporting processes
    • Replace static reports with dynamic, parameter-driven solutions
    • Enhance data accuracy and usability
  • Introduce best practices in Workday reporting, including calculated fields, advanced filtering, and optimization techniques.
  • Stay current on Workday releases and new reporting capabilities, driving adoption where beneficial.
  • Partner with HRIS, HR Operations, and Finance to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
  • Identify and resolve data discrepancies impacting reporting outputs.
  • Support data governance initiatives to improve overall system reliability.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Attendance at work during normal business hours.

Knowledge & Skills Required:

  • Advanced proficiency in:
    • Workday Report Writer (Advanced, Matrix, Trended, Composite)
    • Calculated fields and data modeling within Workday
    • Workday dashboards and discovery boards
  • Demonstrated experience delivering executive-level reporting and insights
  • Strong understanding of HR data domains (headcount, compensation, benefits, talent, etc.)
  • Experience managing reporting intake and prioritization processes
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to connect reporting to business outcomes
  • Executive Presence: Communicates insights clearly to senior leadership
  • Systems Mindset: Understands upstream/downstream data impacts
  • Operational Excellence: Builds scalable, repeatable reporting processes
  • Attention to Detail: Ensures accuracy and consistency in all outputs
  • Continuous Improvement: Constantly looks to optimize and modernize reporting

Preferred Education and Experience:

Education: Four-year college degree minimum.

Experience: 5–8+ years of experience in HRIS with deep expertise in Workday reporting, Experience supporting Board-level or C-suite reporting, Background in data governance or reporting standardization initiatives, Experience in a global or complex organizational environment

Preferred Certification: Workday PRO

The salary range for this full-time role is $106,800.00-$142,400.02 per year. Ranges are determined based on the position, geography, client and industry experience and level, and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range reflects base salary only, and not the total compensation package. Cumming Group reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on a candidate’s experience, skills, and qualifications, including client requirements.
