Job Summary:
The Sr. HR Business Partner (HRBP) – Operations serves as a strategic partner to manufacturing and supply chain leadership, driving people strategies that enable operational excellence, workforce stability, and business growth. This role is responsible for employee relations, labor and headcount management, and organizational effectiveness across production environments.
The HRBP will bring a hands-on, solutions-oriented approach to supporting frontline populations while influencing leaders on talent, engagement, and performance. This individual will also play a key role in building leadership capability and supporting training and development initiatives within a fast-paced CPG manufacturing setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Business Partnership
• Partner closely with Operations leadership (Site Leaders, Production Managers and Team Leads) to align HR strategies with business objectives.
• Provide proactive guidance on organizational design, workforce strategy, and talent optimization.
• Act as a trusted advisor, balancing business needs with employee experience and compliance.
• Partner with HR Operations, Operations leadership and Finance on workforce planning efforts, including headcount forecasting and tracking and on aligning labor strategies with production demands and cost targets.
• Identify and implement strategies to address labor shortages, reduce turnover, and improve workforce stability.
• Analyze workforce metrics (turnover, absenteeism, overtime) and drive actionable insights.
• Partner with Talent Acquisition on recruiting strategies for hourly and skilled roles
Employee Relations
• Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations matters within Operations.
• Conduct thorough and objective investigations into workplace concerns, ensuring fair and consistent outcomes.
• Coach managers on performance management, conflict resolution, and effective leadership practices.
• Mitigate risk by ensuring compliance with company policies, labor laws, and regulatory requirements.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performance culture on the production floor.
• Ensure consistent application of HR policies, procedures, and programs.
Training & Development
• Partner with Learning & Development to identify skill gaps and support training initiatives for frontline and leadership populations.
• Support onboarding programs to accelerate new hire productivity and engagement.
• Coach and develop frontline leaders to strengthen leadership capability and bench strength.
• Contribute to the design and execution of leadership development programs for Operations.
Talent Management & Engagement
• Support performance management processes, including goal setting, feedback, and talent reviews.
• Support succession planning and development planning for key operational roles.
• Lead engagement initiatives to improve employee satisfaction and retention.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Business, or related field
Requirements:
• 7–10+ years of progressive HR experience, including significant HRBP experience supporting Operations or Manufacturing. CPG experience is a plus.
• Strong expertise in workforce planning, employee relations, and labor management.
• Experience supporting hourly populations in a production environment.
• Demonstrated ability to influence and partner with senior leaders.
• Experience with training, leadership development, or L&D programs preferred.
• Knowledge of employment laws and regulations
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into insights.
• Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
