Caterer in Soldotna, Alaska at Central Peninsula Hospital

POSITION SUMMARY: Creates, prepares and cooks food according to Caterer duties to ensure that requested and required foods are provided on schedule and are pleasing and palatable to clients' needs and in accordance with State and Federal guidelines, hospital infection control procedures and department standards to ensure protection from contamination, cross-contamination, and foodborne illness.

REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma/General Education Degree(GED).
• 2 year of food services - experience in a production kitchen.
• Food Worker Card from the Alaska Dept. of Environmental Conservation is required within 30 days of employment.
• Knowledge of safe food handling techniques.
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to problem-solve.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule and occasional overtime when needed.
• Job requires being careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks.
• Possess a strong work ethic and team player mentality,
• Ability to demonstrate positive team interactions with other department staff.

PREFERRED:

• 2 year of food services - caterer experience.
