Shipping Coordinator in Elgin, Illinois at Ebco Inc

Responsibilities

• Create all outgoing paperwork for customer shipments (packing lists, invoices, material certifications, etc.)
• Coordinate and schedule all customer logistics with freight carriers and 3rd party logistics portals
• Ensure successful shipment of products by creating picking wave, verifying picked orders, and applying labels to shipments, as required
• Maintain access to customer portals related to shipping
• Create all customs documents
• Send Advanced Shipping Notices (ASN) for outgoing shipments, as required
• Submit customer invoices via portal, EDI, email, etc.
• Contribute to customer delivery rating scores
• Dashboard Management in WMS related to outbound shiping
• Report on and coordinate root cause investigation of mis-shipments
• Stop product shipments if known issues with products
• Outbound label formatting and management
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Additional education preferred, but not required
• 2+ years of prior experience in Shipping, Logistics, or Supply Chain preferred
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and have good communication skills, both verbally and in writing
• High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills required
• Proficient with computers and with Microsoft office, including Word, Outlook, and Excel
