Who We Are
O'Donnell Metal Deck is a national structural steel distributor with 20+ locations across the country, specializing in open web steel bar joist and metal deck. We're growing fast, and we're looking for people who move quickly, take initiative, and want their work to matter.
The Opportunity
You'll be the day-to-day support for the sales team in your region. You'll review incoming plans, set up jobs in the CRM, and handle customer payments so bids and orders keep moving. It's fast-paced and high-volume, and you'll sit right at the center of the regional sales process.
This is a hands-on sales support role. You'll spend much of your day on the phone and in the CRM, working closely with our Sales Representatives. Accuracy, follow-through, and a professional phone presence are what make someone great at it.
What You'll Do
- Set It Up Right: Review incoming plans, from a single structural set to a full plan room, pull the documents each job needs, and set it up in the CRM with accurate details and due dates.
- Back Up the Sales Team: Handle day-to-day administration for the Sales Representatives, keeping job records, documents, and customer information organized and current in the CRM.
- Handle the Payments: Contact customers to collect payment information, run credit card payments, and enter jobs in QuickBooks with accurate records of every transaction.
You'll Thrive Here If You
- Take pride in accuracy and like to double-check your work
- Are comfortable on the phone and enjoy working with customers
- Handle sensitive information, like payment details, carefully and professionally
- Can juggle several jobs and deadlines at once and stay organized
- Like supporting a team and being the person they rely on
- Pick up new systems quickly and want to keep learning
This Probably Isn't for You If
You'd rather stay off the phone, details and data entry wear you out, or you prefer to focus on one thing at a time.
What's In It For You
- Competitive salary plus a performance-based bonus
- Health, dental, and vision coverage
- 401(k) with company match
- Room to grow with a national company that's expanding
- A supportive team that wants you to win
