This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Cloud Cost Governance Lead - Multi-Cloud FinOps based in Switzerland.

You will take full ownership of cloud financial operations across a complex multi-cloud environment, ensuring complete visibility, control, and optimization of all cloud spending.
This role sits at the intersection of engineering, finance, and cloud architecture, acting as the single authority on cost governance decisions.
You will drive accountability across Azure, AWS, and GCP environments, translating raw billing data into actionable financial insights.
The position requires strong analytical depth and hands-on experience managing large-scale cloud billing ecosystems.
You will be responsible for identifying inefficiencies, anomalies, and optimization opportunities across global cloud workloads.
Working closely with technical and business stakeholders, you will influence cost-aware engineering decisions and financial discipline.
This is a high-impact role where your work directly shapes cloud efficiency, forecasting accuracy, and overall financial performance.

Accountabilities:
  • Own end-to-end cloud cost visibility across Azure, AWS, and GCP, ensuring a single source of truth for all cloud spending and classifications.
  • Monitor daily cost activity and anomalies using native cloud tools, implementing alerts across tenants, accounts, and workloads.
  • Lead root cause analysis of cost incidents, partnering with engineering, finance, and cloud providers to resolve issues and quantify impact.
  • Ensure alignment between provisioning systems and actual billing data, closing gaps between platform actions and cloud charges.
  • Build and maintain robust cost data pipelines and reporting systems using tools such as Power BI, SQL, BigQuery, and cloud billing exports.
  • Identify and drive refund or credit recovery opportunities with cloud providers.
  • Lead forecasting, budgeting, and optimization initiatives including rightsizing, commitment-based savings, and spend governance.
Requirements:
  • 8+ years of experience in cloud or infrastructure environments with strong exposure to FinOps or cloud cost governance.
  • At least 5+ years of hands-on Azure cost management at scale, including experience with multi-tenant environments, CSP/EA/MCA models, Partner Center, and reservation management.
  • 3+ years of AWS cost governance experience using Cost Explorer, CUR, Organizations, Budgets, anomaly detection, and Savings Plans or Reserved Instances.
  • Working proficiency in GCP billing, including BigQuery exports, budgeting, and committed-use discount management.
  • Strong experience building and maintaining cost reporting pipelines and dashboards using Power BI, SQL, or BigQuery.
  • Deep analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex billing data and communicate insights clearly to technical and business stakeholders.
  • Strong sense of ownership and ability to operate in a fully hands-on, data-driven environment.
  • Proven ability to work across engineering, finance, and cloud provider ecosystems in high-scale environments.
Benefits:
  • Fully remote position with flexible working arrangements.
  • Opportunity to work across large-scale, multi-cloud enterprise environments.
  • High-impact role with direct ownership of cloud financial strategy and optimization.
  • Collaborative work culture with cross-functional exposure to engineering and finance teams.
  • Competitive compensation aligned with senior-level FinOps expertise.
  • Exposure to advanced cloud financial management practices across Azure, AWS, and GCP.
  • Opportunity to influence enterprise-wide cost efficiency and cloud governance maturity.
