Senior Technical Recruiter, Hardware

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Technical Recruiter, Hardware based in Canada.

This role offers the opportunity to help shape the future of a rapidly growing technology organization by attracting exceptional hardware engineering talent.
You will play a critical role in building high-performing teams within an innovative environment focused on robotics, autonomy, and advanced technology.
Working closely with founders, engineering leaders, and recruiting partners, you will design sourcing strategies that support ambitious growth goals.
The position combines strategic recruiting expertise with hands-on talent acquisition, requiring creativity, market knowledge, and strong relationship-building skills.
You will influence the candidate experience, strengthen employer branding, and help scale teams that develop impactful technology solutions.

Accountabilities:

As a Senior Technical Recruiter, Hardware, you will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and attracting top technical talent while supporting the growth of engineering teams. You will partner closely with leadership and recruiting stakeholders to understand hiring priorities, build effective sourcing strategies, and deliver an exceptional candidate experience.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Source and recruit highly qualified technical hardware talent in a competitive market.
  • Build and maintain strong candidate pipelines through proactive sourcing, networking, industry communities, events, and creative outreach strategies.
  • Partner with founders, engineering leaders, and recruiting teams to understand workforce needs and develop targeted hiring approaches.
  • Manage the full sourcing lifecycle, from identifying candidates to supporting successful hiring outcomes.
  • Develop innovative methods to attract specialized technical professionals in hardware, robotics, and autonomous systems.
  • Deliver a high-quality candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
  • Provide market insights and talent intelligence to support hiring strategies.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve recruiting processes and strengthen talent acquisition practices.
  • Support rapid organizational growth by helping build world-class engineering and technical teams.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate is an experienced technical recruiter with a strong background in sourcing and hiring specialized engineering talent. You should be comfortable operating in a fast-paced startup environment and have the creativity and persistence needed to identify exceptional candidates in competitive talent markets.

Required qualifications and skills include:

  • 5+ years of recruiting experience, with a strong focus on technical sourcing and talent acquisition.
  • Proven experience sourcing and recruiting hardware engineering professionals.
  • Strong understanding of technical talent markets and effective sourcing strategies.
  • Ability to develop creative approaches to candidate engagement and pipeline generation.
  • Experience partnering with engineering leaders and senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage priorities in a fast-growing and evolving environment.
  • Experience working with applicant tracking systems such as Ashby, Greenhouse, Lever, or similar platforms.
  • Demonstrated success recruiting within startup, scale-up, or high-growth technology environments.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience recruiting within robotics, autonomy, aviation, or related technology sectors.
  • Familiarity with specialized engineering roles and emerging technology talent markets.
  • Experience supporting rapid team scaling initiatives.
Benefits:
  • Competitive base salary range of CA$120,000 – CA$170,000.
