JOB DESCRIPTION/TYPICAL TASK BREAKDOWN:
- Time-sensitive responsibility: Ensures swift action to mitigate production downtime risks caused by quality issues.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Facilitates alignment across teams to drive resolution and maintain operational continuity.
- Workload balance: Reduces the burden on other team members currently handling these tasks, thereby improving overall morale and productivity.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review rejects from both incoming quality inspection and production floor.
- Investigate critical quality issues, create problem statements and communicate to the cross-functional team.
- Manage and coordinate the containment activities (sorting/rework) to minimize the impact on production operations due to quality issues.
- Support problem solving and continuous improvement projects.
- Coordinate the disposition of Process Change Notifications and Deviations.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- 2-4 years of experience in the manufacturing industry
REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:
- Data Collection & Analysis – Ability to gather, interpret, and present data for decision-making.
- Problem Solving & Critical Thinking – Strong analytical skills to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
- Blueprint Reading – Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings and technical schematics.
- Gages & Measurements – Skilled in using precision measurement tools to ensure quality standards.
- MS Office Suite – Proficient in Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for documentation and reporting.
- Knowledge of Internal Combustion Engines – Understanding of engine systems and related technologies.
DESIRED SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering/technology/science
- ASQ CQE certification

The pay range for this role is:
60,000 - 78,000 USD per year(East Peoria, IL)
