Job Description

Manager, Sales Operations

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Manager, Sales Operations based in the United States.

This is a hands-on sales operations leadership role focused on creating reliable, scalable commercial processes in a rapidly growing organization. You will own critical operational workflows spanning territories, quotas, compensation, forecasting, CRM governance, and performance reporting. The role combines detailed execution with cross-functional partnership across Sales, Finance, Manufacturing, Logistics, and regional teams. You will help strengthen Salesforce processes, improve data quality, and provide leadership with accurate insights into sales performance and pipeline health. The position also offers an opportunity to introduce automation and AI into recurring operational workflows. Success will require strong analytical discipline, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to build structure in an evolving environment.

Accountabilities
  • Manage territory and quota administration, including territory carve builds, scenario modeling, quota records, and compensation-related processes.
  • Address sales compensation questions and disputes, escalating plan design issues or exceptions when required.
  • Maintain accurate plan documentation and serve as a reliable source of truth for territory, quota, and compensation information.
  • Coordinate Salesforce enhancement requests, translating business needs into clear requirements, prioritizing smaller-scale improvements, and supporting testing, rollout, training, and adoption.
  • Own CRM data governance and hygiene, including deduplication, account and entity mapping, pipeline integrity, and ongoing data quality monitoring.
  • Maintain and enforce sales process documentation covering stage definitions, pipeline classifications, required fields, and exclusion criteria.
  • Train sales teams on Salesforce processes, data entry standards, forecasting mechanics, submission cadence, and operational expectations.
  • Monitor pipeline hygiene, identify stale, incomplete, or misclassified opportunities, and work with sales representatives and managers to resolve issues.
  • Support the forecasting cadence by facilitating bottom-up forecasts, analyzing territory-level changes and key drivers, and contributing to regional and executive-level reviews.
  • Build and maintain KPI dashboards and recurring scorecards covering quota attainment, pipeline coverage, pull-through, rep productivity, territory performance, and other commercial metrics.
  • Deliver consistent performance reporting to sales leadership and identify territory-level variances, discounting trends, and other areas requiring management attention.
  • Partner with regional teams to drive process adoption and resolve operational challenges across different markets.
  • Coordinate with Manufacturing, Logistics, and Finance to resolve order issues and maintain accurate backlog information within Salesforce.
  • Develop and maintain tools, including AI-supported workflows, to track order health, communicate status, and proactively identify potential delays.
  • Reconcile Salesforce bookings and revenue data against Finance records, investigate discrepancies, and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Coordinate renewal and service contract tracking to help prevent lapses in services and warranty coverage.
  • Manage systems provisioning and operational onboarding for new sales hires, including Salesforce access, forecasting tools, and territory assignments.
Requirements
  • 5–8 years of experience in Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, or a related commercial function, ideally within B2B life sciences, medical devices, diagnostics, or complex technical sales.
  • Strong Salesforce power-user expertise, including reports, dashboards, list views, data management, and sales process workflows.
  • Advanced Excel skills and the ability to build and maintain structured, accurate, and auditable operational models.
  • Experience administering sales compensation, including calculations, plan communication, issue resolution, and dispute management.
  • Strong understanding of sales operations processes including territory management, quota administration, forecasting, pipeline management, and KPI reporting.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills, with a consistently high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong cross-functional and cross-regional communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with sales leaders and teams across AMR, EMEA, and APAC.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a rapidly scaling environment where processes may still be developing, proactively identifying gaps and creating structure rather than waiting for established solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving and execution skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver reliable operational outcomes.
  • Interest in and practical familiarity with automation and AI tools used to streamline recurring workflows such as order tracking, reporting, forecasting, and status communication.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with Sales, Finance, Manufacturing, Logistics, and other business functions.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States; the position participates in E-Verify.
Benefits
  • Base salary: $150,000–$175,000 USD.
  • Performance-based bonus opportunity.
  • Equity participation.
  • Comprehensive benefits package.
  • Fully remote position within the United States.
  • Opportunity to work in a rapidly growing, science-driven environment focused on advancing life sciences and healthcare outcomes.
  • Collaborative culture that values accountability, intellectual curiosity, cross-functional teamwork, and innovation.
  • Opportunities to leverage automation and AI to improve commercial operations and business processes.
