Utility Steward in DALLAS, Texas at Presbyterian Village North

• Models a service attitude towards others, takes ownership in solving problems and takes the initiative to make things better, is friendly and courteous to residents, patients and co-workers
• Set up dish machine
• Transport food carts to and from resident units
• Deliver special request items to units as needed (i.e. missed trays, puree vs. regular tray, different food preparations)
• Break down dishes from food carts if assigned
• Rinse, pre-wash, rack and send dishes through dish machine if assigned
• Pull dishes in dish room and put dishes in designed areas if assigned
• Take out trash
• Sweep and mop floors in kitchen and dish room areas and back door area
• Complete daily cleaning assignments as assigned by supervisor
• Assist with tray line as needed or assigned
• Assist with serving food in dining room to residents as needed or assigned
• Keep up temperature record for dish machine
• Keep records updated on all kitchen cleaning buckets
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Have six months experience in dish room or sanitation work environment
• Ability to read, write and effectively communicate in English
• Genuine caring for and interest in the care of mature adults, handicapped people
