Physical Requirements
Lifting, pushing, or pulling of objects up to 50 lbs., Walking or standing with objects up to 25 lbs; Exposure to extreme temperatures and cuts/punctures. Risk of injuries from use of equipment, moving or lifting equipment/materials. Risk of working at heights above 4 feet occasionally. Sitting for long periods of time.
Shift
Monday through Friday 8:00-4:30 (40 hours/week)

Note: Start time and end time are flexible.
Job Summary
Reporting to the UK Libraries Director for Facilities, the STEPS Support Staff along with the other library facilities support staff are responsible for:
  • Monitoring the loading dock at W.T. Young Library
  • receiving, sorting, and the delivery of mail and other packages daily and providing courier services for on and off-campus

Additional responsibilities include:
  • Moving books
  • Building, moving, or dismantling equipment, furniture, and shelving
  • Other duties as assigned.
