Field Service Representative

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Field Service Representative based in the United States.

This role is a highly specialized, mission-driven field position supporting advanced military mortar systems used by U.S. defense operations. You will apply hands-on operational experience to install, maintain, and troubleshoot fire control systems and armored mortar platforms in real-world environments. Working remotely with extensive travel, you will support system readiness across multiple sites while ensuring equipment performs reliably under demanding conditions. The position blends technical field service work with instructional and advisory responsibilities, leveraging prior military mortar expertise. You will collaborate with experienced technicians and subject matter experts to refine installation and maintenance processes. This is a high-travel, high-impact role where precision, operational knowledge, and problem-solving directly support mission effectiveness in defense operations.

Accountabilities:

In this role, you will support installation, maintenance, and operational readiness of mortar fire control and armored systems while contributing to process improvements and field troubleshooting.

  • Install, configure, and perform system checkouts for Fire Control Computer II and mortar-related platforms including the 120mm Mortar System, Stryker Mortar Carrier, and Armored Multipurpose Vehicle
  • Troubleshoot system and equipment issues in the field, diagnosing and resolving technical problems in collaboration with the support team
  • Participate in process improvement discussions to enhance installation, maintenance, and operational procedures
  • Apply prior mortar platoon experience to improve system reliability and streamline field operations
  • Support training and instructional activities based on operational and technical expertise
  • Collaborate with a highly experienced team to ensure mission readiness and equipment performance
  • Travel extensively to field locations to provide on-site technical support and system validation
Requirements:

This role requires prior military mortar experience, strong technical aptitude, and the ability to operate in a highly mobile, field-based environment.

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of service in a mortar platoon (U.S. military experience required)
  • Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) 11C or 0341 required
  • Completion of Army Basic Instructor Course or equivalent instructional training
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance and NACI (T1) investigation
  • Strong hands-on mechanical and troubleshooting skills for field equipment and weapon systems
  • Experience with infantry mortar systems and operational field procedures
  • Preferred: completion of Infantry Mortar Leaders Course
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills in high-tempo operational environments
  • Willingness and ability to travel 75–100% of the time
